Real-Time Voyager Distance Tracker
Most Distant Human-Made Objects
Voyager 1 and 2 Exploration
This interactive tool provides real-time updates on the distance of Voyagers 1 and 2 from Earth. The data is presented in astronomical units (AU), miles (mi), and kilometers (km).
On February 17, 1998, Voyager 1 achieved a historic milestone, becoming the most distant human-made object in space. It surpassed Pioneer 10's previous record by reaching a distance of 69 AU (64 billion mi or 103 billion km) from Earth.
Both Voyager 1 and Voyager 2 have ventured into interstellar space, continuing their remarkable journeys deeper into the cosmos. Through NASA's Eyes on the Solar System app, users can visualize the actual distance of these spacecraft from Earth.
