Rams Trim Roster to 53 Players, Place Several on IR
The Rams made a host of roster moves on Tuesday in preparation for their Week 2 showdown with the Arizona Cardinals.
The most notable move was the release of veteran cornerback Troy Hill, who was signed by the Rams in March.
Rams Also Waive Six Other Players, Including Two Draft Picks
The Rams also waived six other players, including two draft picks: running back Jake Funk and defensive end Chris Garrett.
Funk was a seventh-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, while Garrett was a sixth-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft.
Rams Place Four Players on Injured Reserve
The Rams also placed four players on injured reserve: wide receiver Tutu Atwell, defensive end A'Shawn Robinson, offensive tackle Alaric Jackson, and safety Jordan Fuller.
Atwell and Robinson are both expected to miss the entire season, while Jackson and Fuller are expected to miss at least four games.
Rams Roster Now at 53 Players
The Rams' roster is now at 53 players, which is the maximum allowed by the NFL.
The Rams will host the Cardinals at SoFi Stadium on Sunday at 1:05 p.m. PT.
